The て form てけい
The て form joins a verb to other words: …て ください, …て います. Take off ます, then change the end:
Ⅰグループ 【-iます】
The sound before ます decides the ending.

| ★ Special!いきますいって | ★いき | ます | いって | ます | |
★ Special rule き usually becomes いて (かきます → かいて), but いきます → いって — never いいて. Only this one verb.
Ⅱグループ 【-eます】
Just swap ます for て.

masu+て
- たべますeatbecomes たべて
- ねますsleepbecomes ねて
- あげますgivebecomes あげて
- みますi sound, but Group 2!becomes みて
★ Watch out みます has an i sound before ます (み), but it is Group 2 — like おきます and います. So: みます → みて.
Ⅲグループ 【します・きます】
Learn these two. Noun + します changes like します.
