〜から
Give a reason — “Because ~.”
Just like 〜とおもいます (Unit 30), the part before から is in the plain form. Say the reason first, add から, then what you do. For な-adjectives and nouns, don't forget the だ.

あめが ふるから、 いえに います。

“Because it'll rain, I'll stay home.”
ぶんけい
から attaches to the reason, which is in the plain form. Verbs and い-adjectives go in as-is; な-adjectives and nouns add だ (しずかだから / やすみだから). 🔊 Tap any example to hear it.
Give a reason — “Because A, B.” The reason (A) comes first in the plain form, then から, then what you do (B).
かいわ

Why are you staying home?

あめが ふるから です。
Because it's going to rain.

どうして ここで べんきょうしますか。
Why do you study here?

クイズ
Choose the right plain form to go before から. Remember: no です/ます, and な-adj / nouns need だ.
